The Citadel
Posted in Uncategorized on April 30, 2012 by big KToday in Charleston I visited the Citadel – The Military College of South Carolina. A really interesting place. The place was had a hard edge like no other place I’ve visited, especially for a college campus. I saw no signs of typical college life, just uniformed students walking in straight lines between white buildings that could be classified as “early fortress”. This hard edge was softened only by the spanish moss that hung from the live oaks that surrounded the drill field and by the fragrance of the ligustrum and salt marsh that filled the air.
