“Singer Katy Perry has had a plaster cast made of her chest for a breast cancer charity.
Keep-a-Breast produces art events that increase breast cancer awareness among young people and benefit breast cancer education, prevention and treatment programs in communities around the world. They are famous for creating plaster forms of the female torso, which are then customized by fine artists and auctioned to raise funding for breast cancer.
23-year-old Perry – who recently performed during the 2008 Vans Warped Tour – joined other musicians from the tour to have a plaster cast made of her breasts, which will then be painted and auctioned off later this year.
“It’s like paper mache, when you’re in first grade and you make a paper mache ball, but now they’re using my boobies … And [boyfriend] Travis [McCoy] is going to paint it,” Perry told MTV News. “I think this is going to be auctioned off, and I think the auction will go for a week … and I’m gonna blog about it, and spread it.”
Pop star Katy Perry is delighted someone paid US$3500 for a mould of her breasts.”
